IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – State toll road operator Jasa Marga recorded that 351,256 vehicles left the Jakarta Greater Area (Jabotabek) on D-1 and the D-day of Good Friday holiday, or on April 1-2.

The number is the accumulation of traffic from several toll gates, such as Cikupa (West direction), Ciawi (South direction), as well as Cikampek Utama dan Kalihurip Utama (East direction).

“The total of traffic volume leaving the Jabotabek area increased 25.16 percent compared to normal traffic,” said Jasa Marga Head of Corporate Communication & Community Development Group, Dwimawan Heru, in a written statement on Saturday, April 3.

Most vehicles left Jakarta from eastern toll gates of 183,507 (52.24 percent), 88,533 from the West (25.20 percent), and 79,216 vehicles from the South (22.55 percent).

Jasa Marga calls on toll road users during Good Friday holidays to anticipate the trip before entering toll roads. “Make sure that the vehicles are in the good condition, apply the health protocols at the rest areas, have enough fuel and electric money credit, abide by the traffic rules and take a rest if you’re tired of driving,” Dwimawan said.
