IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – During his see to a community healthcare unit (Puskesmas) in Bogor, President Joko ” Jokowi” Widodo revealed that he is ready to be the very first COVID-19 vaccine recipient.
” If somebody asks whether the president will remain in the back or upfront? If the group asks me to be at the forefront I will be prepared,” said the president at the Tanah Sareal Puskesmas on November 18, 2020.
Jokowi’s visit to the Bogor community health care system was accompanied by Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto and Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto to supervise the vaccination simulation in the Puskesmas.
However, Jokowi made it clear that the very first groups to get the vaccine will be focused on for health employees working in the front line of the fight against coronavirus such as “doctors, nurses, and paramedics.”
” They will be prioritized,” stated Jokowi.
The 2nd group in line, Jokowi stated, will be state apparatus’ such as Army soldiers and National Police personnel, followed by other public servants such as instructors. Up till this minute, the Indonesian government has yet to decide which brand name of vaccine that will be used for Indonesia’s across the country vaccination.
