COVID-19 Patients at Wisma Atlet Hospital Gradually Drops

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta The Wisma Atlet Kemayoran emergency hospital, which was set up specifically to treat COVID-19 cases, is gradually seeing a drop in the number of inpatients. The facility is currently treating 644 inpatients as of Sunday, June 21.

Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, a spokesman of the emergency hospital, said that the total number of patients on Sunday had dropped by six patients compared to the day prior, 41 recoveries, and 35 new patients admitted. 

According to Aris, 628 positives for COVID-19 treated in the facility came from swab tests while 16 others were obtained from rapid tests. He also said that 4 patients confirmed through rapid tests had decreased from 20 to 16. 

He said that the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran facility for the meantime no longer treats people under monitoring (ODP) and patients under monitoring (PDP).

Ever since the facility was introduced on March 23, 2020, there have been 4,828 people treated with 3,217 released from the facility. The latter statistic includes 3,076 recoveries, 138 transferred to other hospitals, and 3 deaths.
