COVID-19: Indonesia Records Yet Another Daily High of 25,830 New Cases

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The National COVID-19 Mitigation Task Force has again logged yet another daily high of 25,830 new confirmed cases on Friday, July 2, 2021.

The new cases resulted from the testing of 153,608 specimens and the figure has propelled the country’s total COVID-19 tally to 2,228,938 cases.

Five provinces have contributed the most to the new daily cases, with Jakarta topping the list with 9,399 cases, followed by West Java with 4,920 cases, Central Java with 2,538 cases, East Java with 1,388 cases, and Yogyakarta with 922 cases.

The nation’s recovery rate, meanwhile, rose by 11,578 to 1,901,865 in total, while mortality rate climbed by 539 to 59,534.
