Citilink Adds 48 Flights to Lombok Ahead of World Superbike Mandalika

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Low-cost carrier Citilink added 48 extra flights to Lombok of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to support the 2021 World Superbike (WSBK) international racing event in Mandalika. The event will kick off on November 12 to 30, 2021.

“Citilink has prepared extra flights from several destinations, such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Denpasar during the WSBK period,” said the airline’s President Director Juliandra on Thursday, November 11.

With the additional flights, the flight schedule for the Jakarta-Lombok round-trip route and Surabaya-Lombok round-trip route will be twice a day. The airline will also provide four flights a week for the Denpasar-Lombok round-trip route.

Juliandra said that the increased frequency of flights to and from Lombok was aimed at providing ease of transportation access to people willing to attend the international event.

“We hope that the extra flights can boost the number of tourists visiting Lombok and revitalize the tourism and transportation industries hit by COVID-19,” he added.

Organizers of the 2021 World Superbike have begun selling tickets. The ticket event for November 19 is priced at Rp150,000-300,000, November 20 at Rp238,000-846,000, and the last day of November 21 at Rp397,500-1,410,000.
