Central Jakarta Ranks Top in Highest Covid-19 Case Ratio

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The national Covid-19 mitigation task force has released ten regions with the highest number of Covid-19 positive cases calculated based on the population ratio. The top region is Central Jakarta with 149.2 cases per 100,000 population.

“Then followed by Jayapura City with 108 cases per 100,000 population and Surabaya city with 107.6 cases per 100,000 population,” said the task force member Dewi Nur Aisyah, Wednesday, June 24.

The ten top regions with the highest number of positive cases per 100,000 population are as follows:

  1. Central Jakarta, Jakarta Province (149.2 cases)
  2. Jayapura, Papua Province (108 cases)
  3. Surabaya, East Java Province (107.6 cases)
  4. Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan Province (94.5 cases)
  5. Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara or NTB Province (20.10 cases)
  6. Luwu Timur, West Nusa Tenggara or NTB Province (87.6 cases)
  7. Mimika, Papua Province (87.3 cases)
  8. Manado, Sulut Province (79.6 cases)
  9. Jayapura, Papua Province (78.5 cases)
  10. Makassar, South Sulawesi Province (73.7 cases)

The five top regions with the lowest number of positive cases are:

  1. Tegal, Central Java (0.06 cases)
  2. Blora, Central Java (0.11 cases)
  3. Lebak, Banten (0.15 cases)
  4. North Aceh, Aceh (0.17 cases)
  5. Rokan Hulu, Riau (0.18 cases)

Meanwhile, the top five regions with the highest case fatality rate of Covid-19 per 100,000 population are:

  1. Surabaya, East Java (9,8 cases)
  2. Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (9,4 cases)
  3. Manado, North Sulawesi (8,02 cases)
  4. Central Jakarta, Jakarta (8,01 cases)
  5. Makassar, South Sulawesi (4,9 cases)
