AirAsia Extends Scheduled Flight Suspension Till September 30 Due to PPKM

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta AirAsia Indonesia has extended the suspension of its scheduled flights up to September 30, from previously only until September 6. It is a direct effect from the public activity restriction (PPKM) the government imposed to reduce the spread of Covid-19. 

The company remains committed in serving regular flights, chartered, and cargo for repatriation, and other essential flights. They also pledge to reopen scheduled flights as soons as situations are safe enough to do so. 

“AirAsia is committed to serve essential flights under strict health and safety protocols,” the airliner announced in a written statement on September 3. 

The carrier offers flight ticket refunds for customers who had conducted transactions for flight schedules from September 6 to 30. The refunds will be in the form of credit accounts valid for 2 years. Customers can also request cash refunds or reschedule flights until November 30. 

“The rescheduling and refund request can be done through AVA in airasia.com or support.airasia.com,” they wrote.
