IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – A tectonic earthquake measuring 5.3 magnitudes on the Richter scale jolted Southwest of Malang, East Java, at 9: 21 a.m. Friday, October 22.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) through its official page reported that the quake was centered at 78 kilometers southwest of Malang Regency at a depth of 33 kilometers.
The tremor was felt in Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City.
BMKG also confirmed that the quake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami.
