Ask HN: Examples of great ‘productized consulting’ landing pages?

One of my good friends does a productized (fixed rate) roadmapping session (1) as part of a larger “build your MPV” service. My understanding is that it works out actually well for him and his clients.

Oh hey, this is my website (Punchline Copy)!

All these strange rates ending in 7– Is that something you reached by A/B screening or something else? Just from first impressions seeing $397 made me discover the prices far more than, state, $399 or $400

My partner and I have recently productized our web design/development services:

https://madebysphere.com

The transparent pricing has actually truly worked for us and our customers as individuals can self-select, and they know what to anticipate before contacting us.

Pleased to address any concerns.

Hello Chris.

3) Has this cut wear on the back and forth bullshit that is a residue of standard consulting?

4) Where do you discover your new clients?

Glad you resurrected the podcast!

Came here to post a few people to check out if you’re interested in productizing (or positioning as a consultant):

– Brian Casel

– Philip Morgan

– Jonathan Stark

– Kai Davis

In my long experience, website doesn’t do much.

Most of business I’ve got in consulting field is through word of mouth and you spend at some point on call with the customer to understand just what they want and what you can provide to them at what cost point and if you have actually previous effective jobs to flaunt to them.

Getting project from a consumer who approaches you is actually simple offered you’ve experienced and I begin by understanding their requirements then providing them deep domain proficiency summary of how we are going to slice and dice the issue at hand.

Now ofc, if you do not have much experience with the domain – the individual in front of you’ll easily find your BS.

Sites doesn’t really help much other than opening a line of communication and most likely showing some previous customers, success and perhaps your business address/ size.

Checkout http://visualizevalue.com/

It’s the very best example I’ve seen up until now, ticks all packages:

– fantastic content marketing (checkout twitter)

– particular, brief, expensive-gig

– community (yearly subscription)

– online course (paid for this, up until now remarkable)

His service and the stuff he teaches are all on the exact same topic (for this reason the name): helping you use visual language to explain how you offer value.

We very recently released a productized service of our main offering: https://agentrisk.com/together

The reason was that we had a lot of people who either didn’t meet our account minimum to join our wealth management service or they prefer to keep their investing DIY and wanted some help along the method.

Would actually like your feedback on the copy/messaging, this is v1.0 and we’re iterating on this.

Provided for you marketing site that in fact transforms.

I don’t comprehend what you’re trying to state here.

I keep in mind one of the first rails consultancies Hashrocket used to have products: 3-2-1 Release and Rescue Mission.

I want to say 3-2-1 Launch was they construct your site over 3 days for something like $30 k. You may find something in archive.org.

How do you handle the expectations and interaction with customers?

Offered the sticker price for your clickable demo you could burn through that simply fielding e-mails/ calls with your customers.

This would need to be a much longer response.

For your 2nd concern.

Oh that makes a lot more sense:-RRB- Does that enable you to deal with numerous consumers at the exact same time?

It appears like a fantastic business design for somebody with your skillset and skill.

Yup, luckily!

Thank you!:-RRB-

It has its ups and downs. I guess the other huge factor is that I try to limit the tasks I take on, to the more interesting stuff, to attempt to lower any fatigue/burnout.

It’s not a consulting however we have actually productized our style services[1] into small packages. Working well so far for us.
