Soekarno-Hatta Cops receive report of sexual harassment during COVID-19 test

The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Police have received a report from a woman who states she was extorted and sexually bothered while going through a rapid COVID-19 test at the airport.

The woman sent the report after the airport authorities’s criminal investigation system visited her in Bali on Monday.

The case is under the jurisdiction of the Jakarta Authorities, however Jakarta Cops representative Sr. Come. Yusri Yunus said that the lady was not able to make the report in the capital since of work, so the officers went to Bali.

The woman gave an account of her experience on Twitter, where she stated she was obtained and sexually bugged by a medical employee used by Kimia Farma during a quick test at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta, prior to her departure to Nias, North Sumatra, on Sept. 13.

In action, clinical lab firm PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika, a subsidiary of publicly noted pharmaceutical company PT Kimia Farma, has said it will pursue legal action against a staff member accused of fraud, extortion and sexual harassment throughout his time working as a COVID-19 fast test officer at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Kimia Farma Diagnostika president director Adil Fadillah Bulqini stated the company had agreed to bring the case to court after calling the accuser. (dpk)
