West Java’s COVID-19 cases increase a fortnight after long holidays

Bandung, W Java – The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in West Java increased 2 weeks after the long vacations in late October, though the rise was not as high as that after the vacation in August.

” This suggests that the health procedures of hand-washing, mask-wearing, and social distancing were carried out expertly at tourist destinations,” West Java Governor M. Ridwan Kamil stated here on Friday.

The governor notified about the examination of post-holiday COVID-19 cases to Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Financial Investment Luhur Binsar Pandjaitan via videoconferencing from the Pakuan Building.

While attributing the post-holiday walking in COVID-19 cases to the residents’ activities, Kamil was glad to God for the downward pattern in COVID-19 transmission.
