Task force verifies 2,584 children contracted COVID-19 in Babel

The variety of children checking favorable for coronavirus increased due to the high movement of their parents and other family members without following health protocols.

Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung – An overall of 2,584 kids in the age of one to 14 years in Bangka Belitung (Babel) Province were exposed to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections, the local COVID-19 job force stated.

” Children make up some 2,584 of the 20,355 l COVID-19 clients,” spokesperson for the Bangka Belitung Provincial COVID-19 Task Force Andi Budi Prayitno noted here on Wednesday.

According to Prayitno, 73 of the 2,584 children that contracted COVID-19 were one year old, 522 were aged in between one and 4 years, and 1,989 were aged in between five and 14 years.

The children reside in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka, West Bangka, South Bangka, Central Bangka, Belitung and East Belitung Districts.

The children were believed to have actually contracted COVID-19 after coming in close contact with their parents and pals.

He noted that the province had taped 89 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Bangka Belitung Islands is currently ranked 20 th amongst 34 Indonesian provinces in regards to the COVID-19 cases.

” With the addition of 89 cases, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases today rose a little as compared to a week earlier,” he specified.
