Makassar, South Sulawesi – The South Sulawesi federal government and the South Sulawesi Agent Office of the National Population and Household Preparation Company (BKKBN) have dispersed 225 thousand eggs to households at threat of stunting.
The support was offered to Makassar city, Gowa district, Takalar district, and Jeneponto district.
Assistant I for Governance and Community Welfare at the South Sulawesi federal government, Aslam Patonangi, said here on Wednesday that the help was a type of business social responsibility (CSR), which was supplied under a partnership with poultry business PT Satwa Utama Raya.
The phase II distribution of the help was carried out symbolically at the grand launch of the “High-Protein Food Arrangement to Support Stunting Reduction Velocity Efforts in South Sulawesi.”
Head of the BKKBN’s South Sulawesi Agent Workplace, Andi Ritamariani, said that as part of phase II distribution of the egg assistance, a total of 7,500 trays of eggs were distributed in the four regions: 328 trays in Makassar city, 1,031 trays in Takalar district, 3,816 trays in Jeneponto district, and 2,325 trays in Gowa district.
The provision of eggs is a kind of application of Presidential Policy Number 72 of 2021 regarding stunting reduction velocity, BKKBN Head’s Policy Number 12 of 2021 regarding Stunting Decrease Action Strategy (RAN PASTI), in addition to the South Sulawesi Governor’s Guideline Number 19 of 2022 on stunting decrease velocity, she informed.
All components of the government, personal parties, and the community should team up for decreasing stunting frequency, she stated.
” We need to say that the stunting decrease velocity group (TPPS) of South Sulawesi province has worked to take full advantage of all potential in an effort to reduce the stunting rate in South Sulawesi, which is still high at 27.4 percent, or still above the national average of 24 percent,” she added.
