Jakarta – Sterilizing family pets can improve their quality of life and increase opportunities of a longer, healthier life, according to Indonesia’s Veterinarian Association (PDHI) member Novi Wulandari.
Frequently, animal owners become puzzled when their pets give birth.
Owners tend to get overwhelmed at the sight of the litter of pups and end up deserting them somewhere that is far from beneficial, according to Wulandari. Hence, she strongly supports sterilization as a much better option.
Wulandari clarified that in spite of sanitation being conducted, the animals can mate.

Wulandari believes this need to not be a reason for animal owners to pick up “pity” and feel reluctant to sanitize their animals.
