Jakarta – The police and migration workplace in Bali jailed a Russian Interpol fugitive Andrew Ayer, alias Andrei Kovalenka, who left from the Unique Class I Immigration Workplace of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Workplace on February 11.
A representative of the Indonesian Authorities Insp. Gen Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono stated that Andrew Ayer was detained at the Seminyak II Rental Property on Umalas Street 1, North Kuta, Bali, on early Wednesday.
” A team of the Indonesian Authorities headquarters, Bali Cops, and Ngurah Rai immigration workplace has actually arrested an Interpol fugitive, who is on its Red Notification list, a Russian Andrew Ayer alias Andrei Kovalenka,” Yuwono said here on Wednesday.
Ayer did not resist the arrest.
The police also captured Ayer’s sweetheart Ekaterina Trubkina for supposedly helping the escape. The 2 were placed in detention at the immigration office.
Ayer left from the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office on February 11, as he was being transferred to the migration detention center in Denpasar.
Prior to that, a Russian female named Ekaterina Trubkina had visited Ayer. She is believed to have actually helped Kovalenka.
The 32- year-old was earlier serving time in the Kerobokan Prison in connection with a narcotics case. He was a drug dealership in Russia and had fled to Indonesia. The Russian authorities has been collaborating with the Interpol and the Indonesian Cops to get hold of Ayer.
The Bali cops arrested him on October 1, 2019, while he was conducting a drug deal at a coffee shop in Kuta, Badung.
After serving his year-long prison term in the Kerobokan jail, Ayer was transferred to the Ngurah Rai Migration Workplace on February 3, 2021, though he escaped on February11
