Jakarta – President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo is seeking an improvement in the defense costs policy into a defense financial investment policy that is methodically developed.
The president made the declaration in his mandate at the 75 th Anniversary of the Indonesian Military (TNI) at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.
” To master the current leap in military technology, we must undertake serious efforts to change our policy from a defense costs policy to a defense investment one,” the head of state kept in mind practically in Jakarta.
The president communicated that the defense investment policy was systematically developed and executed regularly and sustainably.
The president emphasized that just through this long-lasting defense financial investment will the TNI be able to become a modern war force that stays abreast of the most sophisticated technological advancements.
” Organizational and technological transformation must be supported by the change of prominent workers in dealing with war and non-war military operations,” he expounded.
On the event, the president particularly expressed his appreciation to the TNI soldiers constantly prepared to meet their call of task and protect the Pancasila, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), UUD 1945 constitution, and Unity in Variety (Bhinneka Tunggal Ika).
” Those, who serve with complete sincerity in the rural, border, and remote locations in addition to frontier islands, and who serve abroad as peacekeeping troops. I would like to extend my highest gratitude to TNI soldiers, who have constantly been at the leading edge of mankind,” he included.
