President advises well balanced push-and-pull method for COVID-19 handling

Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) advised his personnel to maintain a balance in implementing the push-and-pull method as part of efforts to handle the COVID-19 pandemic and recuperate the nationwide economy.

Speaking from the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday, the President warned that the balance in between push and pull should be preserved and care should be taken so that no policy sets off a second wave of COVID-19 transmission.

” The push-and-pull strategy, that we have restated from the beginning, must be managed properly. Do not lose balance and raise the danger of a 2nd wave, which could set us back again,” he stated throughout a minimal conference of the Committee for COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Healing (PEN).

The President prompted the Committee for Handling COVID-19, PEN, along with local governments to prohibit and not think twice to step in firmly in activities that could potentially breach health procedures.

” Take safety measures as early as possible,” he prompted.

The President stated that such a technique has up until now yielded results.

As of November 22, 2020, Indonesia’s typical active case rate for COVID-19 was pegged at 12.

The average healing rate for COVID-19 clients in Indonesia was 84.03 percent, substantially greater than the global rate of 69.2 percent.

32 percent enhanced in the 3rd quarter of 2020 to -3. We need to also repair this so that the 4th quarter of 2020 is much better than the 3rd quarter of 2020,” President Jokowi mentioned.
