Nathan Barki wins 2 titles at Singapore ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors

Jakarta – Indonesian junior tennis player Nathan Antony Barki won 2 kid’s songs titles at J5 Singapore ITF World Tennis Trip Juniors which happened in Singapore, Sunday.

Nathan won both titles within 2 weeks, and he also came out as runner-up in the kid’s doubles classification.

” It’s 2 weeks full of challenges and extraordinary in my tennis profession,” Nathan Barki said in a statement.

In the final, Nathan beat Malaysia’s Jagger Zheb Chih Ong Patzwald, 6-3, 6-1.

The title complements a similar achievement in the previous week when Nathan beat the host’s Jerall Yasin in the last with a score of 6-3, 6-2.

” PP PELTI is delighted and proud of Nathan’s accomplishment in 2 weeks in Singapore. It’s a great primary step for him and ideally it will motivate other junior tennis players to make better achievements,” Secretary General of PP PELTI (Indonesian Tennis Association) Lani Pradita Sardadi said.

In the doubles classification, Nathan Barki who paired with Brendan Nicholas Hendrata ended the competition in second location. They lost to Singapore’s Timothy Lim/ Jerall Yasin with a rating of 3-6, 4-6.

A week earlier, Barki and Hendrata had also lost in the final to Cameron Austin Chang (U.S.A.)/ Matthew Johnstone (Australia) 6-7 (4 ), 3-6.

The victories in Singapore’ competition has actually updated Nathan Barki’s ITF junior ranking from 782 nd location as of 16 November this year to 620 s, or up 150 strips, on the existing world junior ranking list.
