Jakarta – Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Edhy Prabowo was taken into arrest by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on charge of participation in a graft case associated to export licensing of infant lobsters.

” He is supposedly associated with a corruption case related to the export licensing of child lobsters,” KPK Chief Firli Bahuri noted in a statement released in Jakarta on Wednesday.

A KPK group arrested Prabowo at Terminal 3 of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang soon after getting here from Honolulu, the US, on Tuesday night, he said.

Bahuri revealed that the Greater Indonesia Motion (Gerindra) Celebration politician was currently being questioned at the KPK Building in Jakarta.

” At this moment, he is being questioned at the KPK. We will release an official declaration from the KPK. Give the enforcement group an opportunity to work first,” he added.
