Jokowi checks Labuan Bajo’s readiness for hosting ASEAN Summit

Labuan Bajo – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has visited Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, to check the readiness of this super-priority tourist destination for hosting the 2023 ASEAN Top on 9-11 May 2023.

” Inspecting the final of the ASEAN Summit again,” President Director of the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority Agency (BPOLBF) Shana Fatina stated in Labuan Bajo on Sunday.

President Jokowi and First Woman Iriana Joko Widodo arrived in Labuan Bajo on Saturday night (22/ 4). The governmental airplane landed at the Komodo Airport at 6: 30 p.m. local time.

In a video discussion with Vice President Ma’ ruf Amin which was broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s Youtube, Jokowi said he would check out Labuan Bajo to inspect its preparedness for holding the ASEAN Top.

ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo is arranged to be attended by the regional grouping’s leaders and other delegations.

An overall of 1,156 spaces from 22 hotels and resorts in Labuan Bajo have actually been gotten ready for accommodating the delegates and national arranging committee members.
