Indonesia wins ASEAN Energy Awards 2020

Jakarta – Indonesia was stated the winner of the ASEAN Energy Awards 2020 during the 38 th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Fulfilling, kept in Vietnam just recently.

In a composed statement launched on Friday, director general of electrical energy at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, Rida Mulyana, lauded the winners of the awards, saying they would hopefully motivate other entities in Southeast Asia to work more difficult to attain energy performance.

” Congratulations to the winners. I extremely expect the accomplishment to be able to motivate other entities in Southeast Asia to work harder in applying energy performance,” he stated.

The ASEAN Energy Awards, which were set up in 2000, are targeted at acknowledging finest practices and increasing public awareness of usage and development of new and renewable energy, energy preservation, and use of coal in a responsible way by taking note of environmental management.

The Indonesian team emerged as the winner after besting tens of candidates in different categories proposed by ASEAN member states.

The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry also took house two awards– the Heritage Building emerged as the 1st runner-up in the category of Small & Medium Green Buildings, while the Chairul Saleh Building emerged as the 2nd runner-up in the category of Small & Medium Energy Management in Buildings.
