Indonesia to raise 3 issues at 9th MIKTA Speakers’ Assessment

Jakarta – The House of Representatives (DPR) will raise the three concerns of multilateralism, inclusive recovery, and digital transformation at the 9th MIKTA Speakers’ Assessment meeting in Jakarta, on Monday (November 20).

” 3 top priority areas during Indonesia’s hosting of the MIKTA forum are enhancing multilateralism, inclusive healing, and digital transformation. These are DPR’s top priority discussions in the MIKTA parliamentary consultation online forum,” Home Speaker Puan Maharani said here on Saturday.

Through the 9th MIKTA Speakers’ Consultation meeting in Jakarta, the DPR will unite speakers of parliament from Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Turkey, and Australia.

Maharani described that the conferences will be divided into three sessions, each of which with various themes.

In the very first session, the speakers of parliaments of MIKTA nations will go over global governance and how parliaments act, while the 2nd session will deepen the dedication of countries to climate change.

In the 3rd session, Maharani will lead a discussion that highlights the role of the younger generation.

She specified that the parliament speakers of MIKTA nations will likewise meet President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace in addition to a trip of the Parliamentary Complex (MPR/DPR) Structure.
