Jakarta – The federal government is awaiting the outcomes of the third stage of the medical trials of COVID-19 vaccine prospects that are under advancement, representative for the Job Force for COVID-19 Action, Wiku Adisasmito, stated.
” Right now, the prospect vaccines are in the third stage of medical trials to guarantee their safety from side-effects and the vulnerability of safe doses to be used for people. The government is waiting on the result of the scientific test,” he said at an online press conference here on Thursday.
When the scientific trials are finished, their outcomes will be sent to the Drug and Food Supervisory Firm (BPOM) for analysis. The federal government has worried the vaccine be established cautiously and not hurriedly, Adisasmito stated.
“( The advancement of vaccines) need to continue to stick to the health requirements,” he added.
If the scientific trials comply with the health requirements, the BPOM will provide an authorization for use of the vaccines, he informed.
He said all provinces in the country have been making preparations for across the country immunization, in accordance with the road map set by the Health Ministry
The preparations are being made keeping numerous elements in mind, consisting of logistics and availability of personnels, he included.
