East Java prepares 2 ships to accelerate vaccinations on islands

Malang, East Java – The East Java Provincial Federal government has prepared 2 ships that will be used to offer health services and accelerate COVID-19 vaccinations amongst seaside communities.

The 2 ships would be enhanced to offer health services and vaccinations to residents residing on islands, East Java Guv Khofifah Indar Parawansa said here on Saturday.

” The East Java administration has 2 ships, which we want to use to offer health services for citizens living on islands,” she stated.

One of the ships comes from the East Java Provincial Government and will be manned by medical personnel supplied by Brawijaya University, Malang, she revealed. Meanwhile, the 2nd ship will be operated by the Airlangga University in Surabaya.

According to the governor, the two ships will offer health services to individuals living on islands and getting difficulty in reaching land.

Brawijaya Univresity Rector Prof. Nuhfil Hanani said that the university is prepared to operate the ship to assist offer health services and speed up vaccinations amongst coastal neighborhoods.
