E Java Forkopimda sends ambulances for door-to-door vaccinations

Surabaya – East Java’s Regional Management Communication Online Forum (Forkopimda) dispatched dozens of ambulances for carrying out door-to-door vaccinations in Surabaya on Wednesday to help accelerate the federal government’s vaccination program.

” The program results from a partnership in between the East Java Provincial Federal Government, TNI, and Polri. There are 29 ambulance vehicles, each of them is manned by 4 health personnel,” East Java regional authorities chief, Inspector General Nico Afinta, notified.

The ambulances will target individuals who have up until now not been reached by vaccination programs, especially those residing in rural areas, he stated.

The 29 ambulances presented under the program comprise 10 automobiles offered by the authorities, 4 by the TNI, 5 by the East Java Health Firm, and 10 by the Surabaya Health Agency, he included.

Each ambulance, he said, will be manned by four health workers– a vaccinator, a screening officer, a p-care admin officer, and a driver. The ambulances will be equipped with a vaccine cool box and emergency kits for negative occasions following immunization (AEFI), he included.

” Residents are encouraged to sign up immediately and get immunized. This belongs to a large vaccination program. There are currently vaccinators in all areas, particularly in villages, university hospital, and vaccine outlets owned by the provincial government, TNI, and Polri,” he said.

The vaccinations are suggested to supplement the government’s efforts towards dealing with COVID-19, which is infecting people despite location, background, and age, Afinta said.

” Anybody can be ‘shot’ (contract COVID-19) if they do not secure themselves with a shield which is following the ‘5M’ health protocol and vaccination.
