Civil service reform to lower possibility of corruption: President

Sectors straight related to the interests of individuals at large, sectors affecting business ecosystem, particularly micro, small, and medium organizations, became the center of the government’s attention.

Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) highlighted the government’s continued efforts to reform civil service and licensing sectors to decrease the possibility of corruption.

Reforming sectors associated with public interests, including the micro, little, and medium service sector, will be high on the list of the federal government’s priorities, the head of state kept in mind at a virtual function marking World Anti-Corruption Day 2020 from the State Palace here on Wednesday.

” Sectors directly associated to the interests of individuals at large, sectors affecting business community, particularly micro, small, and medium businesses, became the center of the federal government’s attention,” he verified.

The federal government will continue to structurally reform the sectors on a large scale. To this end, it will simplify overlapping and complicated policies and administration, he kept in mind.

” This will be supported by the application of digital innovation, such as e-budgeting, e-procurement, e-audit, and other applications,” he mentioned.

System improvement demands reliable internal and external guidance involving non-government institutions and public participation, he stated.

” The professionalism of law enforcement devices plays a central role in acting against and preventing (corruption),” he verified.
