112,000 university students participated in Teaching Campus: Ministry

Jakarta – The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research Study, and Innovation specified that up until now, 112 thousand university students have taken part in the Kampus Mengajar (Mentor Campus) program in more than 23 thousand target schools.

Teaching Campus is a program initiated by the ministry that provides university students an opportunity to support teachers and school principals in carrying out finding out activities in schools.

” They directly participate and collaborate with instructors, school principals, and even trainees’ parents,” the ministry’s Director of Learning and Trainee Affairs Sri Suning Kusumawardani noted in a declaration here on Friday.

According to Kusumawardani, the Mentor School program is a response to the existing difficulty, particularly the progressively complicated job market’s need for personnels.

On the other hand, the ministry’s Director of Academic Vocational Higher Education, Beny Bandanadjaja, specified that the Teaching School program can supply new learning techniques for students at professional high schools.

He described that students of trade universities can share their experiences and knowledge in the aspect of strengthening digital literacy and assistance training trainees of occupation high schools in management and interaction by teaming up with instructors.

In its 7th batch, the Teaching School program will open chances for 30 thousand picked university students that will be distributed to 3,000 target schools consisting of elementary schools, junior highs, and employment high schools.
