The chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Authorities has expressed appreciation to the mass companies and hopes the Peace-Loving Declaration will be echoed to support conducive security and public order.

Jakarta – Representatives from 10 mass organizations based in Jakarta checked out the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Wednesday to state their “peace-loving motion versus anarchism”.

Director of public assistance for the Jakarta Metropolitan Cops, Senior Citizen Commissioner Badya Wijaya, accompanied by chief of the general public police development subdirectorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Authorities, Adjunct Elder Commissioner Sri Wardiningsih, received the representatives.

On the other hand, chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Cops, Inspector General Nana Sudjana, thanked the mass organizations for their assistance in preserving public order in the capital city.

” The chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Cops has actually revealed thankfulness to the mass organizations and hopes the Peace-Loving Declaration will be echoed to support favorable security and public order,” chief of the public relations area of the Jakarta Metropolitan Authorities, Elder Commissioner Yusri Yunus, stated here on Wednesday.

The 10 mass companies are the Red-and-White Paramilitary Unit (LMP), Senkom Mitra Polri, Pancasila Youth, Betawi Rempug Online Forum (FBR), Betawi Sons Interaction Online Forum (Forkabi), Kembang Latar, Siliwangi 1912, Federation of Siliwangi Sons Effort (Gibas), Panca Marga Youth (PPM), and the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI).

The declaration of the “peace-loving movement against anarchism” is a symptom of support to the cops to secure the capital city against reckless celebrations prompting riots by penetrating peaceful rallies, said Yunus.

The declaration comes a day after a peaceful rally against the job development law in the capital turned violent on Tuesday. Throughout the rally, 1,377 demonstrators were detained for apparently clashing with police personnel. None of them have actually been named suspects as they are still being investigated.
