Former Election Official Jailed in Graft Case that Shakes Ruling Party PDI-P

Jakarta. The Jakarta Anti-Corruption Court on Monday sentenced former General Election Commission, or KPU, commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to 6 years in prison for taking kickback from politicians of the judgment Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P).

Wahyu was found guilty of taking at least Rp 600 million in kickback, which the court stated was given to him so that he would assist a PDI-P political leader who looked for to fill an uninhabited Legislature seat.
