Pertamina Targets Single-Fuel Price in 490 Locations in 2024

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Director of state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina Nicke Widyawati said that the company is targetting to implement the single-price fuel policy in 490 locations in 2024. Nicke said that currently, Pertamina has managed to implement the single-price fuel policy in 243 locations in 2020. The number equals to 49.59 percent of the intended target.

“Today, the fuel sold in the [243 locations], has the same price with fuel sold in gas stations in Jakarta. So if previously people with low income in the locations must buy fuel in high prices, now the price is the same,” Nicke said in a seminar on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

Nicke asserted that the target is in accordance with the government’s instructions.

In addition to the single-price fuel policy, Nicke admitted that 7,500 gas stations will not be enough to distribute fuel to 77,000 villages in Indonesia. Therefore, Pertamina is introducing the Pertashop or the mini gas station program.

“We targetted that one village must have one pertashop, one village one outlet is Pertamina’s program,” Nicke said.

In the program, Pertamina will be selling eco-friendly fuel and non-subsidized petroleum gas.

Currently, Nicke said that Pertamina has established 600 outlets, which will continue to be increased to 4,500 outlets. Further, 10,000 outlets will be established every year all across Indonesia.
