Indonesian Covid-19 Case Surpasses 1 Million Today

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The Indonesian Covid-19 Task Force announced 13,094 new coronavirus transmissions as of Tuesday, January 26, totaling the number to 1 million cases or 1,012,350 infections.

President Joko Widodo announced the first and second Covid-19 cases on March 2, last year, and in less than a year, it has now reached a million cases.

The number had actually been decreased in the past few days. Yesterday, it was less than 10,000. But the number of the specimen tested was also fewer than other days, which was 51,906 specimens.

However, today saw a soaring number of more than 13,000 Covid-19 cases, with 75,194 specimens tested.

West Java loaded the most report with 3,924 cases. The second is Jakarta with 2,314 cases, and then Central Java with 1,678 cases.  

The Covid-19 task force showed an increased number of recoveries at the national level. As many as 10,868 patients were declared clear from the illness as of today, totaling the number to 820,356 recoveries.

Meanwhile, the death related to covid-19 reached 336 cases as of today, amounting to a total of 28,468 cases.
