12,638 Burials in Jakarta Conducted Under Covid-19 Health Protocol

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta There are 12,638 burials under the Covid-19 health protocol conducted by the Jakarta Administration up to Tuesday, January 19, with 3,836 of those that are confirmed to be positive.

The city’s official website on coronavirus updates, corona.jakarta.go.id, stated that there are 2,311 other cases of ‘Covid-19 suspects’ that were buried under the health protocol with 5,333 probable cases and one discarded case. 

The difference between suspected cases and probable cases is that the former are people who have shown symptoms and suffer acute respiratory syndrome for the past 14-days while the latter means that probable cases are those with clinical references of Covid-19 infection but has not been confirmed by PT-PCR lab tests. 

Meanwhile, a discarded case refers to those that have been given the ‘suspected’ status but have been cleared of carrying the virus after two PCR tests.
